Clockwork Marketing for The Stand Up Paddle Book

Yes. My latest book is out, The Stand Up Paddle Book, and the internet marketing plan is going like clockwork. At this moment, I’m 2 sales away from meeting my 2010 sales goal for the book. Books are being bought and delivered, and the only final copy I’ve ever come out of pocket for is the 1 proof that I have lying on my desk that cost me about $4.50.

For those of you who know me personally, one of my marketing niches is stand up paddle surfing. I got hooked on the sport years ago and, out of the love I have for the sport, have been building the community ever since. I launched the first official publication on the sport, an online magazine named Stand Up Paddle Surfing Magazine (www.supsurfmag.com), co-founded a stand up paddle school on the North Shore of Oahu (www.rainbowwatersports.com), and on December 18, 2010 I published the first book on stand up paddling (www.standuppaddlebook.com).

The marketing for The Stand Up Paddle Book began long before the book was finished. And now, the launch of the book has gone perfectly! Want a peek into how I did it?

Next, go to Amazon.com to do a general search and book search for “stand up paddle”.

Then, go to Gooogle and search for the phrase – stand up paddle book. Last I counted, the book appeared 7 times on the first page of results.
